Workflow Summary

What Happens After a Workflow Review

After a review is complete the following will happen.

  1. The reviewed documents will be updated with the relevant revision status and markups.

  2. The reviewed documents will be unlocked.

  3. Approved documents will be distributed to the Auto Distributors or any users who were added for distribution after upload.

  4. A summary transmittal will be issued with the status of all the documents.

Interactive Document and Markup Revision Links

Reviewers can click into documents and markups directly from the summary page email notification. MU revisions in the summary table are clickable, allowing users to navigate directly to the specific revision. Users must be logged in to access these links.

Download Options

On the Workflow Summary Screen, control which revisions you want to download.

  • Original - Downloads the original file

  • All markups - Downloads each MU rev

  • Latest markup - Downloads just the latest MU rev

  • Consolidated rev - Downloads just the consolidated rev (only shows this if the CM rev has been created)

These options will only show when a valid markup revision is available that matches those options. This will also include offline markups.

All markups

Downloads the current revision you are on  

Always shown

Consolidated Rev

Downloads the consolidated rev.

If multiple consolidated markup revisions are available, the latest will be downloaded.

Only shown if there is a CM revision

Downloads the latest MU rev

Only shown if there is at least one MU revision

Distribute Markups from Workflow

On the Workflow Summary Screen, control which revisions you want to distribute.

  • Original - Downloads the original file

  • All markups - Downloads each MU rev

  • Latest markup - Downloads just the latest MU rev

Add to Basket Options

On the Workflow Summary Screen, control which revisions you want to add to the basket.

  • Original - Downloads the original file

  • All markups - Downloads each MU rev

  • Latest markup - Downloads just the latest MU rev

These options will only show when a valid markup revision is available that matches those options. This will also include offline markups.

Revision Selection:

  • Users can distribute or add to the basket the selected revision(s) for a single or multiple documents.

  • When adding to the basket, only the selected revisions will be included.

DTX Creation:

  • When distributing, a DTX will be created that specifically includes only the selected revisions.

What Download, Distribute and Add to Basket Options Look Like

The user must select at least one file from the summary screen to download.

Please note that user access to markups will still be determined by the workflow template settings, which control when users can see parallel step markups and comments. DTX - records redistributions on the DTX history

Original File will show you the original drawing without markups 

All Markups will show you all the markups past and present 

Latest Markups will show you the markups applied in the previous step (or by the previous reviewer)

Distribute Approved Documents From Workflow Summary

You can easily distribute documents that were Approved as part of the review workflow from the Workflow Summary page.

  1. To distribute - select the Approved documents by placing a tick in the checkbox.

  2. Click Distribute and follow the Distribution prompts.

Consolidate Markups

When there has been more than one markup done on a document you can generate a consolidated markup from the Workflow Summary screen.

  1. Click on the Consolidate Markups button on the workflow summary screen.

  1. This will add a new row to the Workflow Summary table to include the automatically generated Consolidated Markup (CM revision)

Review Issues and Design Issue Report

From the Workflow Summary you can Review Issues by clicking on Review Issues.

To view the issues in more detail click on the Design Issue Report.

Closure Details of Each Step

Each steps Start Time and Finish Time is recorded for audit purposes.
