Export PDF / Publish Consolidated Revision
When you export a plan to PDF using the Export PDF / Publish Consolidated Revision tool, the generated report will include:
PINs displayed at their exact location on the drawing, showing where each form was pinned.
Each PIN is labelled with its form-type cod
e (e.g., DEF for Defect, RFI for Request for Information, QA for Quality Assurance) and its reference number (e.g., DEF#0012, RFI#0003). This allows users to quickly identify what type of form is linked to each pin and trace it back to the original form.
Author tags are included alongside the reference — for example,
PBS-RP (B-MU2), DRI#0009— identifying who created the markup or pinned form.
If you simply download the document as a PDF (using the standard download options rather than Export PDF / Publish Consolidated Revision):
PINs will NOT appear on the downloaded PDF.
Stamps will NOT appear on the downloaded PDF.
Other markups WILL appear — freehand drawings, rectangles, circles, clouds, arrows, and text annotations will be visible on the downloaded file.
The new window that pops up will show you all the form types that have been added as pins to include in your report.
Select the ones that you require and click download
The report will include the pins and their reference number.
Pins Linked to Markups Export PDF
When PINs are linked to markups, the Export PDF / Publish Consolidated Revision output will display the PIN reference label on each associated markup, allowing reviewers to clearly identify which form each markup relates to directly on the exported drawing.
Include Summary
If you choose to Include Summary, the PDF will also contain a summary table listing:
The reference of each pinned form or DRI
The created date for the markups
The title/type of annotation
Any text content (for text annotations)
The author who added the markup or created the pinned form
You can group the exported content either By Page (annotations and issues grouped per drawing page) or By Reviewer (grouped by who created the markup).
