Design Issues Custom User Fields

You can add metadata or user fields to Design Issues to capture relevant project data.

How to Add Custom Metadata User Fields to Design Issues

  1. To do this go to Publication Space > Settings.

  1. Click on the Design Issues tab.

  2. And add the user fields as required.

  3. Follow the steps located in User Field Customisation.

Required Fields When Creating Design Issues

If you add a metadata field for a Design Issues and set it as required, the user creating the design issue will be required to fill it out.

When you add a call out markup during a review, a popup screen will be shown requesting you to fill out the required field.

Rich Text User Field in Modern DRI Forms

Users can add a text user field with a height greater than 1 (rich text) in modern forms.

  1. Navigate to Publication Space > Settings > Design Issues Tab.

  2. Add a text custom field with code = FD and description Further Details with a height of 2.

  3. Choose this form in Further Details Field.

How it Works

When a callout is drawn, the DRI title and the "Further Details" field are populated, similar to the classic version.

Users can edit this field when responding to a DRI.

For manual DRIs, this field can be populated as a regular text field.

Functionality

  • Supports all standard security and user field functionalities.

  • This field can be added to grids and saved searches.

  • Supports column filtering with "contains" functionality as it is a text field.

  • Available in advanced search criteria as a text field.
