Custom Split for a Form

A custom split provides the ability to carry the conversation on your RIB CX Form to another Form type quickly and easily.

This functionality provides the ability add a button to the tool bar of your forms so that when clicked it will automatically create the new Form type. You can create as many custom splits as required.

To Configure a Custom Split

1. Go to configure.

2. Select Document types.

3. Select the Document type you want.

4. Go to the Split section.

5. Click on "+ Add New Button".

6. Give the Button a name (this is required)

7. Select the form to split to.

8. Show in All or Specific Status - If you only want the option available once the form is at specific status, i.e approved

9. Show in these status - will hide the option when status is not selected

10. Tick "Custom Split" if you want your Button to appear as shown.

Configure which statuses you can split from

We have introduced the ability to customise which statuses a particular custom split button will be available. By enabling this configuration you will be able to provide better context-specific split buttons depending on where the form may be in its process.

You can select the statuses in which the Custom Split button appears by editing a row for the relevant custom split button.

Retire a Custom Split Button

Click on the "Retire" button and confirm.

Edit a Custom Split

Click on the "Edit" button.

Hide Split Button

In Document Types config there is a "Split" option to "Hide Split Button". When ticked the split button will be hidden on this form type.
Form type admins can set this option.

Hide Mode and Security Options on a Form

The "Mode" and "Security" user fields can be hidden on a form type.

Go to the form type that you wish to hide this option on.

Under the split section, you will see an option to Show Mode and Security options

To hide this option untick the setting.

To show the options - tick the setting.

Once ticked you can also control which users will have access to it.
