Log In and Select a Project

1. If you have not already done so, download the RIB CX mobile app. For more information click here.

2. Login to the app using your Email and Password.

3. Select the project from the list or use the search tool.

Create a New Defect Form

1. Click on the Modules Tab.

2. Under Modules Tab select the Defects Module.

3. Click on the Defects Document type.

4. Click on the New Defect Button on the bottom right.

5. This will load a new Defect form for you to fill out.

Filling in the Defect Details

1. Depending on the set up the title may be automatic otherwise give the Defect a suitable title. 

2. Leave the status as For Review as the Defects Manager for your project will review it after it has been logged.

3. Addressing is handled by a distribution rule.  You will not need to fill it out.

Adding Form Details for a Defect

1. Go to the Form Tab.

2. Add defect specific information for Location, Position and Issue by selecting the relevant option from each of the fields.

3. If required, the Further Notes field can be use to add any additional information regarding the defect.

Please note any user field marked with an Asterix is a required field and must be filled out to allow saving or closing.

4. Turning on the toggle buttons locks the value inserted in the field so when you save and create new the next defect will have these fields pre-populated.  Click here for more information.

Adding an Attachment to a Defect

Additionally you can also add an Attachment to the Defect to make it clear to Defect Manager what the issue is

1. Tap on the Attachment tab.

2. Click on the Camera icon.

3. Take a photo or video.

4. Choose from your camera roll.

5. Choose a file.

5. Mark up tools are automatically enabled so you can draw an arrow or circle to highlight the issue.

6. Click Save when finished mark up.

Upload the Defect to RIB CX

1. Click on Save.

2. Choose your save option once complete. 

  • Save and Close - choose this if you have no further defects to create.
  • Save and Create New  - choose this if you are creating more defects.  This option also enables locked values to pre-populate the next defect.
