Search for Specific Defects via the Mobile

As part of the Defect Inspection process, you will most likely need to filter your list of Defects based on Status, User Field values or both.

This section will show you how to filter and search for Defects on RIB CX Mobile.

Search the Defect list by Status

  1. Navigate to Modules > Defects.

  1. Then click on Defect document type.

  1. Click on the Filter icon at the bottom of the screen.

  1. Click on Status and Choose the status you wish to search on. In this example we chose For Review.

  2. Click Search.

Search the Defect List by User Field Data (Trade, Location etc.)

On the search criteria page (see above how to access this page) you can also add further criteria to your search.

  1. Tap on the user field you want to filter by.

  2. Select the values. In this example we have added a Location and Trade value.

  3. Tap on search.

  1. This search will show results of defects where the: 

  • Status is Ready to Inspect

  • Location is Building B

  • Trade is Carpet

Search the Defect List by Addressing

On the search criteria page (see above how to access this page) you can also add further criteria to your search.

  1. Tap on the Action or Info field.

  1. Select the user.

  1. Click Search.

Removing Search Criteria

To remove the search filters you have added.

  1. Click edit on the Search page.

  1. Tap to place a tick in the circle of the criteria you wish to clear.

  2. Click on Clear Search criteria.

  3. Then click on Search to run the search with the newly updated criteria.

Inspecting and Closing Out Issues

You can use a search to identify a list of Defects that are ready to inspect and close out.
