Creating Survey Requests from the Lot

The LOT form is used to manage quality requirements for a section or Lot of work.  All Survey Requests should be created from the relevant LOT or associated back to if created independently.

To create a Survey Request through the browser, follow the steps below.

1. Access the Quality Dashboard and click on the Outstanding Lots widget. 

 2. When the Outstanding Lot list displays, click on the relevant LOT reference No.

 3. The LOT will display in the right hand side of the screen. Click Respond on the bottom of the form.

 4. When the response window opens, click the inline form selector to display the list of documents available to create.

 5. Select Survey Request.

 6. A new Survey Request will be created and shows inline against the Task. Click Submit to complete the form. Click on the link to open the Survey Request.

 7. When the Survey Request opens it will be pre-addressed to the person creating the inline split. All like fields will be copied over from the LOT. 

 8. Click Respond to address the relevant contact and add survey specific detail.

9. When the Survey Request opens, check or add the following:

  • Action - Address the relevant person.
  • Survey Type - Select option (this is customised to suit your project requirements).
  • Acceptance Criteria - Type what criteria is required for acceptance. 
  • Remarks - Add as necessary.
  • Schedule - Add the Start Date and Time and the Finish Date and Time.
  • Comments - Add additional comments if required.

 10. Once details are complete, click Submit to issue to the action person.
