Another advanced feature of the saved search is the ability to make it in-line editable. This allows you to edit the form data in the search results without having to open the form.
When in-line editing all notifications and tracking about changes are performed as per usual.
Modify a Saved Search to Make it In-line Editable
1. Expand the search.
2. Click Edit Favourites. (Refer here for editing Saved Searches)
3. On the Details tab.
4. Change Output to Editable Register.
5. Click Save.

When editing a select user field, you can auto filter the list with the handy search control built into the editor

Contact user fields also have an auto filter search option that allows you to quickly filter the list of users, companies, groups and roles.

Checkbox Selections as Simple Options
A checkbox user field will be shown as a simple set of options that you can select to add to the form.
Cascading User Field
The cascading user field is shown as an expandable set of options (a tree view).
Text User Field In-line Edit
Users can click into the text box and type the comment.
Please note that the controls for rich text editing will not be available when editing a rich text field
You can however use basic rich text keyboard shortcuts such as
Ctrl +b = for Bold text
Ctrl + i = italics
Ctrl +u = underlined text
If the text already has lists, bullet points the you can still edit those and add new bullet points or lists
CX supports copy pasting images into rich text boxes in a list. You can also drag-drop images into that text field

You can copy and paste OR drag and drop images into a rich text user field within List table (just like it is the case outside of the user field).
Saved Search In-line Edit Logs
To ensure the auditability of forms is accurate, each in-line edit made via a saved search will be logged on the form as a separate update record.
