How to use Automatic Document Numbering
- After configuring an Automatic Document Numbering format as above, you can start using it during your uploads.
- Upload your documents by drag and drop
- On the upload page select the Document Type
- This will now use the Automatic Numbering template configured for this type
- You will see the Document Number change to the configured format
- Select values for the other fields that are part of the Numbering format and the rest of the Document Number will be automatically updated
- The Sequence number is only generated after clicking uploaded
- If all the fields required as part of the Automatic Document Number is filled in on the upload page, click Upload
