Map Settings

What are Map Settings?

Map settings allow you to customise default configurations for displaying maps on-screen within RIB CX.

Maps are utilised in various areas of the application, including dashboards and forms featuring a configured Coordinate User Field.

Where do I configure Map Settings?

To access map settings, you must have project administrator privileges.

Navigate to Configure > Map Settings in the menu.

How to Configure Map Settings?

Bounding Box (optional)

Define the maximum area visible on the map. Specify the coordinates of the top left and bottom right corners to focus the map by default.

Example:

To focus the map on a specific area upon loading, input the top left and bottom right coordinates.

You would then get the top left coordinates as follows

I have used the free tool - https://www.gps-coordinates.net/ to get these coordinate details.

And insert them into the North and West Input boxes

North = Latitude

West = Longtitude

Repeat the steps for the bottom right point coordinate and enter them into South , East input boxes

This will then focus the map to that location by default.

Default Location (optional):

Set the default area the map focuses on.

For instance, enter coordinates like -28.337082546403394, 151.63000750250293 to center the map at that location by default.

View

Choose between aerial or road view as the default map view.

Default Zoom (optional)

Determine the default zoom level of the map, such as 13.

Adjust the slider to configure the appropriate zoom level for your project.
