Project Administrators or a nominated Project Contact Administrator may add a new Company and new users for each company.

Company Administrators and/or a nominated Company Contact Administrator manage the users (i.e. add and delete) for their own company.

To Create a New Company

  1. Click the Contacts icon on Project Tool Bar.

    1. Click Add Company on the bottom of the page.

    Start typing the Company name.  Suggestions will appear.  If one of the suggestions is the Company you want to add click on it.

    1. Enter the Company ABN.

    Companies are uniquely identified by their COMPANY NAME and BUSINESS NUMBER.

    The Company ID can not include spaces or any of these characters: & , % ,\\ ,* , <> or any of these combinations: CON, PRN, LPT1, LPT2...LPT8, COM1, COM2...COM8

    1. Enter a Company ID.

    1. Choose the Project Role of the company.  Click here for more information on roles.

    2. Click Save to create the company.

    Once you have created a new company, you can edit these details as well as edit the default Company Options by simply clicking on the Company Name in the Contacts List

    In Adding Companies we have explained how to add new companies, but what if the company we want to add has already existed on other projects.

    1. If you are adding an already existed company name on the current project, you will be reminded that the Company Exists, and you need to use a new company name because the same company name can not be added twice.

    2. If the company you are adding dose not exist on the project you are using, BUT it has already existed on other iTWO projects, it will also pop-up a window, you can click Use Company to import information of that company from iTWO account or click Close to add a new one.

    By clicking Use Company, It will pop up the following window. Here you can Choose a new role for this company, add and import users from iTWO account or just add the company without importing the users.

    3. Synchronize with the Template projects. If the project you are working on is a template, while you are adding a company, you can synchronize that newly added company to the child-projects generated from that template.

    a. Access the Add Company page, and while you are adding a new company, tick the box marked in red in the following screen.

    b. After adding the information, click Save. In the pop-up page, the child-projects generated from that template will be listed, and you can choose the projects by ticking the relevant boxes.

    c. Click Save.

    d. Click Done on the bottom of the page for moving to the next phrase and add other detailed information.

    Company Already Exists

    Sometimes a company you are trying to add already exists on another project. 

    1. As you type in the Company name if this company already exists on another project it will come up as a suggestion.

    1. Select the Company and a pop up will appear asking if you want to use this company?

    1. If this is your company select Use Company.

    2. Choose the role this company will have on your project. (for more information regarding roles click here)

    1. Either choose Add and Import Users if you would like to add users associated with this company or Add and Finish. Click here for more information.

    Note

    Audit log : When a company is created in the following scenario - the system will log an entry in the company history page when

    1. Creating a company that did not previously exist via contacts
    2. Creating a company in a project that already existed in another project (import) via contacts
    3. Importing via utility - from another project
    4. Importing via utility - from Excel
