Create a Design Review

Issue  

Design Review Issues (DRI) can be logged from the Mark Up button or the Review Online button.

1. From the workflow screen click on the Start Online Review or Mark Up Button.

2. Either of these will load the drawing preview with the markup toolbar.

Using a Call Out

3. Click on the Call Out icon shown in the image below.  This will create a DRI for a specific area on the drawing.

4. Draw the Call Out where you want to make the DRI.

5. A pop up window appears.  Choose a category for the DRI.

6. Choose a critical rating for the DRI.

7. The DRI is created and can be found in the Issue tab on the right-hand side of the preview window.

Using the Log Issue Button

8. As per above, this time click on the Log Issue button.  This will log a DRI for the whole drawing.

Note

This Design Issue will not create a Layer.

9. The new DRI will appear as a pop up.

10. Submit the DRI and it can be found in the Issues Tab on the right-hand side of the preview window.

Finalise the Workflow Review

11. Once you have completed the workflow review, the DRI will be recorded in the Mark Up area.

View the DRI List

There are 2 ways you can view the list of existing DRIs.

1) From the workflow - click on the icon indicating the number of DRI's per revision.

Filtering the DRI List

By Status

You can filter the DRI list by status by clicking on the status count at the top.

For eg: Click on the 2 number for Open and it will filter the list to show just DRI's in the Open status.

Clicking on the To Be Checked icon will filter the list to show just the DRI's in the To be Checked status.

Show all

Clicking on the Total number will show all DRI's available for this revision including the closed/resolved ones.

How to Open or View a DRI

To View from the Workflow

1. Click on the DRI count indicator to load the DRI list.

1. Click on the notification for the DRI.

1. Open the DRI.

2. Add your comment.

3. Click Add.

Manually Change the Status

1. Open the DRI.

2. Change the status.

3. Click Submit.

Using Action Buttons

The standard DRI document type comes pre-built with our standard workflow along with Status Action Buttons that change the status of the document with one-click.

This standard configuration means that when the DRI is an open status you will see the Issue Fixed Button.

When clicked it will change the status of the DRI to To be Checked.

While it is in this status you will see 2 buttons which are Fail and Issue Resolved.

Clicking on Fail will change the DRI status back to Open as the issue has not been resolved.

Clicking Issue Resolved will close the DRI and change its status to resolved.

Advanced Mode DRI

When the Design Issue process is set to Advanced by your administrator, any mark ups done before you draw a call out mark up will be put into a single Design Issue.

As an example you could add an arrow, a circle and then a callout mark up. This creates a single Design Issue with all 3 mark ups.

Notice the full toolbar is available to you now.

1. Add the mark ups as required.

2. Then draw the call out the mark up.

3. This will then create the Design issue automatically.
