How to create a Design review issue

There are 2 ways to log a Design review issue.

1) From a Workflow

  1. When you open the workflow (and you are the current reviewer for the current step) you will see the button to Add a Design review issue
  2. Click on the Add button
  3. Image Added
  4. This will load a new Design Review issue form
  5. Image Added
  6. You will need to provide a title as it is required
    • The action person will automatically be set to the user who uploaded the current revision you are logging the DRI for. But this can be adjusted as required
    • Set a due date
    • The status by default will be Open
    • Add some further details about the issue
    • Select the revision you are logging the DRI for - by default it will pick the revision the workflow is using
    • Click Submit

Once you've submitted the DRI you will see the  DRI count increase by 1

2) From Mark up

  1. When you are on the workflow screen click on the Markup icon
  2. Image Added
  3. This will load the drawing preview with the markup toolbar
  4. Then click on the icon shown in the image below to load up the new DRI screen
  5. Image Added

Log the DRI as before

Note that you can add any mark up before you create the DRI as before.

 

Viewing the Design issue list

There are 2 ways you can view the list of existing Design issues

1) From the workflow - click on the icon indicating the number of DRI's per revision

2) When in the markup screen click on the Issues tab

Filtering the DRI list

By Status

You can filter the DRI list by status by clicking on the status count at the top.

For eg: Click on the 1 number for Open and it will filter the list to show just DRI's in Open status

Click on the 1 To be checked Icon and it will filter the list to show just the DRI's in To be Checked status

Show all

The Show all option will show all DRI's available for this revision including the Closed/resolved ones

How to open/view a DRI

To view from the Workflow

  1. Click on the DRI count indicator to load the DRI list

  1. Click on the DRI row you want to open

  1. Click on the Issues tab to load the DRI List
  2. Click on the DRI row you want to open

  1. Open the DRI 
  2. Add your comment
  3. Click Add.

Manually change the status

  1. Open the DRI
  2. Change the status
  3. Click Submit

Using action buttons

The standard DRI document type comes pre-built with our standard workflow for the DRI along with Status Action Buttons that change the status of the document with one-click

This standard configuration means that when the DRI is an open status you will see the Issue Fixed button

When clicked it will change the status of the DRI to To be Checked.

While it is in this status you will see 2 buttons which are Fail and Issue Resolved.

Clicking  on Fail would change the DRI status back to Open as the issue has not been resolved

Clicking Issue Resolved would close the DRI and change its status to resolved.
